Description

The Chord PT-12 is a pedal-based digital chromatic tuner built for the floor. Its extra large backlit LCD display makes note readings easy to see while you're standing at a gig or rehearsal, and the large note symbols keep the tuning process clear at a glance. A colour changing backlight helps you spot when you're sharp, flat or bang in tune without needing to read the fine detail.

Pressing the footswitch activates the tuner and mutes the output, so you can retune quietly between songs. The PT-12 uses true bypass operation, meaning your signal passes straight through when the tuner is off and your tone stays clean. A virtual needle display sits alongside the note readout, giving you a familiar reference point as you tune each string.

Tuning calibration is set with a rear-mounted push button, letting you adjust the A4 reference anywhere between 430 and 450Hz. You can run the PT-12 from the supplied 9V PP3 battery or an optional 9Vdc adaptor (US: AC adapter), and the pass-through DC jack passes power on to other pedals in your chain. Connections are handled by 6.3mm jack input and output for your guitar, plus a 5.5 x 2.1mm DC socket. At 105 x 84 x 53mm and 311g, it's a practical fit for any multi-pedal setup.
