Description

This is a UHF beltpack transmitter designed to work with Chord's NU1 wireless systems. It carries a pilot tone that keeps it locked to the NU1 receiver, so the audio stays clean and the squelch behaves as it should. The unit runs on the 864.1MHz carrier frequency, one of two versions available in this range, giving you a bit of flexibility when you need to run more than one channel in the same space.

You clip the beltpack to your waistband or belt and connect a lavalier (lapel) microphone or a headset mic via the threaded 3.5mm mono jack. The screw-lock connector means the cable won't pull out mid-use, which matters when someone is moving around on stage or presenting. It works with Chord's own neckband and lavalier microphones, so you can build a setup that suits the way you speak or perform. Range is up to 60 metres in open conditions, enough for most halls, stages and conference rooms.

Power comes from two AA batteries supplying 3Vdc, so there's no proprietary cell to source and you can swap in fresh batteries quickly between sessions. The body measures 205 x 68 x 25mm and weighs 76g without batteries fitted, light enough to wear for a full event without it dragging on your clothing. If you already run an NU1 system and need a spare or additional transmitter, this pairs straight in once you match the carrier frequency to your receiver.

Frequently Asked

Which systems does this beltpack work with?

It's built for Chord NU1 wireless systems. The pilot tone keeps it compatible with the NU1 receiver, so match the carrier frequency to your setup.

What microphones can I connect?

It accepts Chord neckband and lavalier (lapel) microphones, as well as headset mics, through the threaded 3.5mm mono jack.

How is it powered?

Two standard AA batteries provide 3Vdc. There's no special cell to buy, so you can carry spares and swap them in seconds.

What range can I expect?

Up to 60 metres in open conditions. Walls and other obstructions will reduce this, so keep the transmitter and receiver within clear line of sight where you can.

Why does the connector thread on?

The 3.5mm jack screws in place so the microphone cable can't pull loose while you move around. This gives you a more secure connection than a plain push-fit.

Can I run more than one transmitter at once?

Yes. This range comes in two carrier frequency versions, so you can run multiple channels together as long as each transmitter is matched to its own receiver.
