Description

This is the Chord NU20-HT handheld transmitter, built to work with the Chord NU20 dual channel wireless receiver. It runs on the 863.8MHz carrier frequency and includes a pilot tone, which keeps the link between transmitter and receiver stable and helps cut out unwanted signals. If you already run an NU20 system, this handheld unit slots straight in as a vocal microphone for stage, presentation or event use.

The transmitter uses a high quality dynamic capsule, so it handles close-up vocal work well and keeps handling noise low. You get up to 60m of range, which covers most rooms, halls and small stages without dropouts. Power comes from two AA batteries (3Vdc), so there is no proprietary pack to worry about, and swapping cells mid-event takes seconds. The handheld measures 243mm long with a 48mm diameter barrel and weighs 238g without batteries, giving it enough weight to feel steady in the hand.

The NU20-HT comes in two carrier frequency versions, and this one is set to 863.8MHz. Because the pilot tone is built in, tuning stays reliable across a session, which matters when you are running multiple microphones (mics) in the same space. It pairs with the matching NU20 receiver rather than working as a standalone unit, so make sure your receiver is set to the same channel. For anyone building out or replacing parts of an existing NU20 setup, this gives you a straightforward handheld option with dependable performance.
