Description

This beltpack transmitter is made for use with the Chord NU20 dual channel wireless receiver. It operates on a carrier frequency of 863.8MHz and uses a pilot tone to keep tuning stable, so the receiver only locks onto the correct signal and ignores stray interference. It's one of two frequency versions available, letting you run more than one system in the same space without the channels clashing.

The transmitter works with Chord neckband and lavalier (also called lapel) microphones, connecting through a threaded 3.5mm mono jack that screws firmly into place. That threaded fitting stops the cable pulling loose during a presentation or performance. You get a working range of up to 60m, which suits most stage, classroom and conference setups where the presenter needs room to move.

Power comes from two AA batteries giving a 3Vdc supply, so replacements are easy to find and you can carry spares without needing a dedicated charger. The unit measures 205 x 68 x 25mm and weighs 76g without batteries fitted, light enough to clip to a belt or pocket for a full session. It's a straightforward way to add another wireless mic to an existing NU20 receiver.
