Description

These Chord MALLETHF mallets come as a pair and are made for use with a range of percussion instruments. The hard felt heads give you a firmer strike than softer felt options, which suits situations where you want more attack and definition from each note.

Each mallet measures 370mm long with a 40mm diameter head, and weighs 58g. That combination gives you a balanced feel in the hand, with enough weight behind each stroke to bring out the tone of the instrument you're playing. The matched pair means both mallets behave the same way, so your playing stays even across both hands.

Hard felt mallets (sometimes called beaters) work well on glockenspiels, xylophones and similar tuned percussion where you want a clear, bright sound. If you already have softer mallets, adding a hard felt pair gives you more options for shaping your tone across different pieces and instruments. They're a straightforward addition to any percussionist's kit.
