Description
The Chord GB-W1 is a padded gig bag made to fit western acoustic guitars, part of our wider range of carry bags for classical, acoustic, bass and electric instruments. The outer shell uses a water resistant nylon fabric to help keep the weather off while you move between gigs, rehearsals and the car. Inside, a 20mm padded lining sits around the body to cushion the guitar against knocks and bumps in transit.
Carrying options are flexible. Back-pack shoulder straps let you wear the bag on your back and keep your hands free, and there are two carry handles for grabbing the guitar quickly when you need to. Heavy duty zip fasteners run around the opening so you can load and unload the instrument without fuss, and a handy neck hook holds the guitar in place inside the bag. The design keeps things simple and quick to use day to day.
Storage is covered by three easy access pockets, giving you room for cables, a tuner, a pedal, spare strings, sheet music and other bits you carry to a session. In the US a gig bag is sometimes called a soft case, so if you are searching under that term this is the same kind of product. The GB-W1 is a practical, everyday bag for players who want lightweight protection without the bulk of a hard case, and it works well as a spare or main bag for regular travel.

Frequently Asked
What size of guitar does the GB-W1 fit?
It is shaped to fit western acoustic guitars. Our wider range also includes bags for classical, acoustic, bass and electric guitars, so check the model that matches your instrument.
Is the bag waterproof?
The nylon fabric is water resistant, which helps keep light rain and damp off the guitar. It is not fully waterproof, so we would not recommend leaving it out in heavy or prolonged rain.
How much padding does it have?
The interior has 20mm of padding around the body to cushion the guitar against knocks and bumps while you carry it.
Can I wear it as a backpack?
Yes. It has back-pack shoulder straps so you can carry it on your back, plus two carry handles for lifting the bag by hand.
How much storage is there for accessories?
There are three easy access pockets for cables, a tuner, a pedal, spare strings, sheet music and other accessories you take to a session.
How does the guitar stay in place inside?
A neck hook inside the bag holds the guitar steady, and the heavy duty zips keep the opening closed while you carry it.
