Description
We made the Chord GB-BAN2 to give your banjo a safe place to travel. It's shaped to fit a G banjo, tenor banjo or guitar banjo, with room for 4, 5 and 6 string instruments. The outer is water resistant nylon fabric, so a bit of rain or a damp floor won't be a problem on the way to a gig or rehearsal.
Inside there's a 10mm layer of padding around the body of the bag, which cushions the banjo against knocks and general handling. A heavy duty zip fastener runs the length of the opening and holds firm, and the integral carrying handle gives you a solid grip when you're moving between the car and the venue. There's also an accessory pocket for spare strings, picks, a tuner or a capo.
The bag has maximum internal dimensions of 1030 x 415 x 100mm, with outer dimensions of 1050 x 430 x 120mm, so it's worth checking your instrument against those figures before you order. At 1.05kg empty, it stays light enough to sling over your shoulder or hold by the handle without adding much weight to the load. It's a practical, no fuss gig bag for players who want their banjo protected without carrying a bulky hard case.
