The Chord CEM28-TSB is an electric mandolin built in the classic teardrop shape, finished in a tobacco sunburst with a gloss top. The body and neck are made from linden laminate, keeping the overall weight down to just over a kilogram, and the fingerboard and floating bridge are cut from hardwood composite. It is an instrument aimed at players who want to plug in and play, whether that is at home, on stage, or in the studio.

A single coil pickup sits under the strings and feeds two controls, one for volume and one for tone, so you can shape the output before it reaches your amp.
