Description

The Cherub WST-645 is a clip-on tuner that attaches to your instrument's headstock and rotates for a clear view while you tune. It uses a simple tilt action for power: tilt the head up and the colour LCD display comes on, tilt it down and the tuner powers off. That keeps the internal battery from draining when you're not using it, so you don't need to hunt for a power switch mid-session.

The display shows note detection, tuning accuracy, the current mode, A4 pitch, flats and the status of the internal LiPo battery. A top-mounted button steps through the tuning modes: Chromatic, Guitar, Bass and Ukulele, with both standard and compensated options for guitar. Holding the same button works through the flattened tuning options, so drop and down tunings are covered without extra menus. The A4 reference is set at 440Hz and the tuning range runs from A0 (27.50Hz) up to C8 (4186Hz).

The battery recharges over USB in around two hours and gives up to 10 hours of use per charge, which means no button cells to replace. Tuning stability sits at ±1 cent for reliable results across the range. At 51 x 34 x 31mm and just 25g, the WST-645 stays out of the way on the headstock and packs down small for a gig bag or case. It's a compact tuner with the features most players want and straightforward operation, suited to guitar, bass and ukulele alike.
