Description

The Carisbrooke is a 5-arm black metal chandelier with gracefully curved candelabra-style arms, each featuring hand-bound wire drapes that cascade from the central column. Ivory-coloured candle tubes sit in shallow dish-shaped pans on each arm, creating a Gothic-inspired silhouette that references European ecclesiastical lighting. Five E14 bulbs (sold separately, maximum 60W each) provide ambient light suitable for dining rooms, entrance halls and larger living spaces.

The chandelier measures 470mm in diameter and spans approximately 405mm from the base of the ceiling cup to the bottom of the lowest arm curve. The drop is adjustable on installation from 470mm minimum (semi-flush configuration using the flush convert system) to 1105mm maximum (chain-hung with the full 640mm chain extended). This adaptability makes the fitting suitable for both standard 2.4m ceilings and taller rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above.

The black finish is applied to a steel frame and provides a matt-to-satin appearance depending on light angle, minimising reflections while retaining a forged-metal aesthetic. The hand-bound wire drapes add textural detail and cast fine secondary shadows when the chandelier is lit. The ivory candle tubes provide tonal contrast against the black metalwork and reference traditional wax-candle chandeliers, though the fitting uses standard mains wiring and E14 screw bulbs rather than real flames.
