Description

This heavy-duty trailing socket from AV:Link is built for demanding places where standard extension leads tend to give up. The housing is made from TPE, a tough copolymer that stands up to knocks, drops and daily wear, so it copes well in workshops, garages, on site and anywhere else that sees hard use. It carries two 13A gangs and conforms to BS1363/A.

The rewireable design is the main draw here. Rather than being sealed to a fixed lead, you wire it up yourself, which means you can set your own cable length, repair it if the flex gets damaged, and keep it in service for years. The grip-friendly body makes it easier to hold and position when your hands are full or the conditions are less than ideal. Keyhole slots on the back let you wall-mount it so the socket stays put and off the floor.

This is the 2 gang version, and the same trailing socket (US: power strip) is also available in 3 and 4 gang options if you need more outlets. It runs at 250Vac with a maximum current of 13A across the unit, in line with UK mains. It suits trade, DIY and professional users alike, and the black finish keeps it looking tidy in a busy setting. Wire it once, mount it where you want it, and you have a dependable point of power that will take a fair bit of punishment.
