This AV:Link audio lead splits a 3.5mm stereo signal into two separate 6.3mm mono channels. One end carries a 3.5mm stereo jack plug, while the other end divides into two 6.3mm (quarter-inch) mono jack plugs, one for the left channel and one for the right. It's a straightforward way to route a stereo source into equipment that expects two individual mono inputs.

We find this lead useful for connecting a phone, tablet or laptop to a mixer, where you need to feed the left and right signal into two separate input sockets. The 6.3mm plugs (sometimes called 1/4-inch jacks) are the standard size found on mixing desks, powered speakers and much studio gear, so the lead saves you needing an adaptor at each end.
