Steel, aluminium, PC, ABS and glass come together in our Audrey Floor Lamp, a design built around four opal glass globes stacked up a slim vertical stem. Each globe sits on a round base, and the brass finish carries a warm tone from the base right the way up the stem. At 128cm tall, this is a floor lamp that reads as a slender vertical line rather than a single shade, and we like how the diameter shifts from 15cm at its narrowest to 30cm across the widest point. It is a shape that holds its own beside a sofa or in a reading corner without crowding the room.

We fit this floor lamp with a built-in 29W LED panel that gives 1300 lumen at a warm 2700K, so the light it throws is soft rather than clinical. The CRI of 91 means colours around it stay true, which matters if you read or work nearby. It is dimmable, so you can bring the level down for a quieter evening, and the LED is rated for 50000 hours of use before you need to think about it again. A 2.1m black cord comes included, and the whole thing is designed for indoor use only. We chose the opal glass because it diffuses the light evenly, softening any glare as you move past it.

Assembly takes around 5 minutes, so you are not left wrestling with parts long after it arrives.
