Description

The Armand is a 2-light wall light built around a pair of curved aged brass arms that extend from a charcoal black circular backplate. Each arm supports a clear glass shade shaped like a lantern chimney, with a solid brass candle cup at the base and a smaller clear glass knop between the arm and the shade. The fitting takes two E14 candle bulbs (sold separately), with each bulb visible through the clear glass.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and hallways where decorative accent lighting is needed alongside ceiling lights, the Armand provides ambient fill light rather than task illumination. The two arms are angled outwards at approximately 45 degrees from the wall, with each glass shade projecting 224mm from the mounting surface. The 345mm width suits alcoves, chimney breasts and statement walls where a single fitting needs presence without dominating the space.

The aged brass finish on the arms and candle cups shows tonal variation and slight patina that gives the metal a lived-in character rather than a bright new-metal appearance. The charcoal black backplate anchors the composition and provides tonal contrast against the brass, making the metal detailing more visible. What bulbs does the Armand take?

The fitting takes two E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, each rated up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with decorative LED filament candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to complement the aged brass finish and show through the clear glass.

Can it be fitted to a plasterboard wall?

Yes, provided the wall is backed by timber studs or suitable fixings are used. The Armand weighs approximately 1.5-2kg with bulbs fitted, so standard cavity fixings rated for this load are sufficient where timber studs are not accessible. The circular backplate is 120mm in diameter and conceals the wall fixings.

Is the Armand dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. LED candle bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most leading-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs should not be used with a dimmer circuit. The fitting itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming.
