Description
The Amarilli is a 900mm diameter 10-light chandelier built around hand-forged scrollwork and oak leaf detailing, finished in black with an applied silver patina. Each of the ten arms curves outward from a central stem decorated with forged oak leaves, carrying a candle-style E14 socket fitted with a clear glass sconce and a silver-finish candle tube. Clear glass droplets hang from the scrollwork and beneath each sconce.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.8m or higher, the chandelier provides ambient light spread across ten individual sources rather than concentrated in a single fitting. The 1960mm maximum drop allows positioning 1.8-2.2m above a dining table in taller rooms, or shorter drops of 690mm minimum for lower ceilings. The chain is adjustable on installation and the cable runs concealed inside.
The black finish on the forged metalwork provides the base layer, with silver patina applied to the raised edges of the scrollwork and oak leaf detail to create contrast and depth. This two-tone treatment gives the piece a weathered, aged appearance that suits both traditional interiors with period detail and contemporary spaces where black metalwork anchors the scheme. The clear glass sconces and droplets refract candlelight from the ten E14 bulbs (sold separately) across the metalwork and into the room.
Handmade by Elstead Lighting, each Amarilli chandelier shows slight variation in the forged scrollwork and the application of the silver patina, characteristic of hand-finished metalwork. The chandelier weighs approximately 8kg when fully assembled and requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling rose rated for the combined weight.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Amarilli take?
The chandelier takes ten E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to replicate traditional candlelight.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 690mm suits ceiling heights of 2.4m and above when positioning the chandelier over a dining table or in an entrance hall. For higher ceilings the drop extends to 1960mm maximum, allowing the fitting to sit 1.8-2.2m above a table surface in double-height rooms.
Is the drop adjustable after installation?
The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening or extending the chain before fixing the canopy to the ceiling. Once installed and wired, the drop cannot be adjusted without disconnecting the fitting and re-threading the cable through the chain.
How is the silver patina applied?
The silver patina is hand-applied to the raised edges and leaf detail of the black-finished metalwork, creating contrast where the scrollwork catches light. Because each chandelier is hand-finished, the patina pattern varies slightly between individual pieces.
