Description

The Aegean is a 2-light wall bracket in polished nickel, combining hand-forged scroll arms with acrylic candle pans and cut crystal droplets hanging from the central column. Each arm holds a single E14 candle bulb (sold separately) in a polished nickel sleeve, with the light reflecting off the polished metal backplate and scroll detailing.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where decorative wall lighting is needed in traditional or transitional interiors, the Aegean provides accent lighting rather than primary room illumination. The 320mm width and 175mm projection suit walls with sufficient clearance for the scroll arms to extend without blocking doorways or furniture movement. The polished nickel finish pairs with both warm and cool colour schemes, offering a brighter alternative to antique brass or aged bronze.

The hand-forged scrolls show individual tooling marks from the metalwork process, giving each bracket slight variation in the curve and twist of the arms. The cut crystal droplets catch light from the bulbs above and introduce a decorative accent without the full cascade of a chandelier. The polished nickel plating provides a high-sheen reflective surface that requires occasional cleaning to maintain its appearance in high-traffic areas.

What bulbs does it take?

The Aegean takes two E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this bracket with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the traditional styling.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen. LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable and paired with an appropriate LED-compatible dimmer switch. Incandescent and halogen bulbs are generally dimmable without restriction.

What wall clearance is needed?

The bracket projects 175mm from the wall. Allow at least 200mm total clearance from the wall surface to avoid the scroll arms interfering with door swings, furniture backs or high-traffic movement along hallways.

How is the polished nickel cleaned?

Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth to remove fingerprints and dust. For tarnishing or water marks, use a metal polish formulated for nickel or chrome finishes, then buff to restore the shine. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the plated surface.
