Description
The Adastra WSP25-B is a weatherproof sound projector built for both indoor and outdoor use. It handles music and speech equally well, so it suits gardens, patios, car parks, walkways and covered outdoor areas as easily as it does indoor spaces. The injection-moulded ABS body and coated steel grille are made to stand up to the weather, and the unit carries an IPX5 rating against water spray from any direction.
Fitting is straightforward thanks to the adjustable steel mounting bracket, which lets you angle the projector to point sound where you need it. The hard-wired input cable has four cores, giving you a choice of power tappings so you can match the speaker to your 100V line system. If you would rather run it on a low-impedance amplifier, the transformer can be bypassed internally to give an 8 Ohm load. The cable measures 350mm.
This is a 25W projector, a practical output for background music and clear announcements across small to medium areas. Note that in the UK we tend to call this a sound projector, while in the US you may see the same style of unit described as a horn or projection speaker. The black finish keeps it discreet on external walls and posts, and the weatherproof build means you can leave it in place year round without worrying about the elements.
