Description

The Adastra RH15V is a rectangular horn speaker built for outdoor and large-area PA (public address) work. It runs on a 100V line system, which lets you connect several speakers along a single cable run and set the volume of each unit independently. A rotary tapping switch on the back gives you a choice of power settings, so you can match the output to the space and balance levels across a whole installation without swapping components.

The housing is moulded from high impact ABS, giving it good resistance to knocks and to weather. It carries an IP66 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and against strong jets of water from any direction. That makes it suitable for exposed sites such as car parks, forecourts, sports grounds and industrial yards where a speaker needs to cope with rain and grime year round.

Sound delivery comes from a reflex-loaded driver working through a rectangular flared aperture. This spreads audio efficiently and in a directed pattern, so speech and announcements carry clearly across wide areas rather than dispersing in all directions. The rectangular flare is a practical shape for mounting in rows along walls or gantries. As part of the Adastra RH range, the RH15V suits background music and voice paging where reach and durability matter more than fine detail. Fit it with the tapping switch set for your zone, wire it into your 100V amplifier, and it will run reliably outdoors.

Frequently Asked

What does a 100V line system do?

It lets you wire many speakers on one cable run over long distances, setting each speaker's volume with its tapping switch. This suits large PA installations with several zones.

Is the RH15V suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. It is moulded from high impact ABS and rated IP66, so it resists dust and strong water jets. It is built for exposed sites such as car parks, forecourts and yards.

How do I set the volume on this speaker?

A rotary tapping switch on the rear selects between several power settings. This lets you match output to the area and balance levels across an installation.

What is the horn speaker best used for?

It is designed for background music and voice paging over large areas. The directed sound pattern helps announcements carry clearly outdoors.

What does the IP66 rating mean?

IP66 confirms full protection against dust ingress and against powerful water jets from any direction, making the speaker fit for wet outdoor conditions.

Do I need a special amplifier?

Yes, you need a 100V line amplifier. The speaker's transformer connects to the 100V output and the tapping switch sets how much power it draws.
