Description

The Adastra RC4U600 is a 4U rack cabinet built for 19" rack-mount equipment, with a mounting depth of 600mm. It's made from 1.2mm cold-rolled steel with folded edges for strength and stability, and finished in epoxy powder coating in RAL9004. Front and rear rack strips are supplied and fitted to internal rails, so you can adjust the mounting depth to suit gear with overhanging fittings or to support the rear of heavier units.

The front door is removable and holds a pane of 5mm tempered glass set within folded steel edge panels. It can be hinged to open from the left or the right, and comes with a lock and two keys. The clip-in side panels lift away for easy access during installation, and the top panel is vented for cooling with a cut-out ready to take a fan if you need one. Top and bottom knock-outs give you routes for cable feeds.

The rear panel has fixing apertures for wall mounting, or you can leave the cabinet free-standing. Maximum static load is 100kg total across the whole cabinet. The RC4U600 meets ANS/EIA RS-310-D, IEC297-2, DIN41491 and ETSI standards, so it fits into professional installations without fuss. This model is one of a range available in two depths and various rack heights, letting you match the cabinet to the amount of equipment you're housing.

How much equipment does a 4U cabinet hold?

The 4U height accepts up to four rack units of standard 19" equipment. Rack unit heights are a fixed industry measure, so any 4U's worth of compatible gear will fit.

Can the door open from either side?

Yes. The removable front door can be mounted to open from either the left or the right, so you can set it up to suit your space.

Is it wall mountable or free-standing?

Both. The rear panel has fixing apertures for wall mounting, or you can use the cabinet free-standing on a flat surface.

What is the maximum load?

The cabinet supports up to 100kg static load in total. This is the combined weight across all mounted equipment.

Can I fit a cooling fan?

Yes. The vented top panel has a cut-out for mounting a cooling fan if you need extra airflow for your equipment.

How deep is this cabinet?

This model has a 600mm mounting depth. The RC4U range is also available in a second depth if you need more or less room for cabling and gear.
