Description

The Adastra PS65-B is a wide angle pendant speaker built for spaces with high ceilings, where a standard ceiling speaker would sit too far away to work well. It uses a spheroid 2-way design with wide dispersion, so sound spreads across a broad area from a single hanging point. The 16.5cm (6.5") driver handles both the low and high frequencies, giving you clear speech and music across shops, atriums, warehouses and similar open rooms.

Each speaker comes ready to hang. We supply 4.5m of cable along with a cable hook, so you can suspend the unit at the height that suits the room. On top of the housing there is a rotary switch that lets you choose between four 100V line tappings or 8 ohm operation. That flexibility means you can set the volume balance across a run of speakers to match the space, or wire the unit directly to a low impedance amplifier if you prefer.

The 100V line setting is the usual choice for commercial installs, letting you connect several speakers along a single cable run without losing signal over distance. Note that in the US, 100V line is often referred to as 70V line, though the tapping principle is the same. The black finish keeps the speaker discreet against dark ceilings and structural fittings. If you are fitting out a venue with tall or open ceilings, the PS65-B gives you a straightforward way to bring audio down closer to the audience.
