Description

The Adastra LS26 is a line splitter that takes one or two inputs and divides them across up to 12 outputs. Feed a single source into input A and route it to all 12 outputs as a mono system, or use both inputs A and B to run a 6-way stereo split. Each input is buffered and divided across six outputs, so you get clean, level-matched signals without loading down the source.

Every output has its own volume control, which means you can set different levels for different destinations from the same source. Input peak LEDs let you keep an eye on the signal and avoid clipping. The two 6.3mm jack inputs and twelve 6.3mm jack outputs (called quarter-inch phone jacks in the US) sit on a single rack unit, so it slots straight into a standard 19-inch rack. With a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response, signal to noise ratio above 95dB and THD below 0.008%, it stays out of the way of your audio.

We see the LS26 used for zone mixing, personal monitoring, effects patching and signal routing in more involved recording setups. The buffered outputs mean you can send one feed to a stage monitor, another to a recorder and another to an outboard effects chain, each at its own level. It runs from a 115/230Vac supply via IEC, weighs 2.0kg and measures 483 x 44 x 170mm. A practical bit of kit for anyone who needs to split one or two lines into many without introducing noise or level problems.

Frequently Asked

How many outputs can the LS26 provide?

Up to 12 outputs. You can run one input to all 12 as a mono system, or split two inputs across six outputs each for stereo work.

Can each output level be adjusted separately?

Yes. Every output has its own volume control, so you can set different levels for different destinations from the same source.

What connectors does the LS26 use?

Two 6.3mm jack inputs (A and B) and twelve 6.3mm jack outputs, numbered 1 to 6 and 7 to 12.

Will it fit a standard rack?

Yes. It is a single rack unit measuring 483 x 44 x 170mm, so it fits a standard 19-inch rack.

What is it typically used for?

Zone mixing, personal monitoring, effects patching and routing in more complex recording setups where one or two lines need splitting to many outputs.

What power supply does it need?

It runs from 115/230Vac, 50/60Hz via an IEC connector.
