Description
The Adastra KV5T is a 2-way 100V ceiling speaker built for background music and voice systems. It uses a glass-aramid main driver paired with a coaxial dome tweeter, coupled to a wave guide baffle to spread sound evenly across the room. The result is clear, consistent audio whether you're running speech announcements or background music in a shop, cafe, office or reception area.
Each speaker carries a 100V line transformer with three selectable volume tappings, chosen using a 4-core cable, so you can set the output level to suit each part of the installation. If you'd rather run it as a standard low-impedance speaker, you can bypass the transformer for 8 Ohm operation. Rated power is 20W, and the speakers are supplied individually so you can buy the exact number you need for the space.
The cabinet uses an ABS basket with a magnetic low profile steel grille, which sits flush and frameless for a tidy finish once fitted. The grille is powder coated, and the heavy duty glass-aramid cone handles regular use well. With a 120 degree dispersion angle and a 25mm ASV dome tweeter, the KV5T is a practical choice for anyone integrating ceiling speakers into a 100V system. Note that US listings may refer to these as in-ceiling speakers, but the specification is the same.
