Description

The Adastra HPC-120T is a high power column speaker built for indoor or outdoor foreground PA work. The powder-coated extruded aluminium enclosure holds a linear array of neodymium main drivers alongside a single HF tweeter, with reflex porting that gives a full sound and a balanced frequency response you would normally only expect from a larger, more traditional cabinet. That combination lets a slim column stand in for a full-size PA speaker in places where big boxes simply will not fit.

Each column carries a transformer that can be tapped at various power settings, or wired for low impedance operation, so you can match it to the rest of your system. The neodymium drivers keep the weight down while still producing high SPL, and the compression-driven HF flare handles the top end. Rated at 120W with an IP55 ingress protection, the HPC-120T can be safely installed in sheltered outdoor areas for external public address, giving a powerful output that belies its size and format.

Fitting is straightforward thanks to the integral heavy-duty tiltable rear bracket, which lets you angle the speaker toward the listening area and keep the cabling neat. Connection is made through Euroblock (also called Phoenix) screw terminals for a secure, tool-friendly wiring job. Dispersion is 140 degrees lateral by 40 degrees axial, so a single column covers a wide area without spilling too much sound above or below the crowd. Finished in black, it suits both retail spaces and outdoor terraces.
