Description

The Adastra FSV-B is a two-way foreground speaker built for indoor or outdoor use. It runs on either a 100V line system or as an 8 ohm speaker, with a rotary selector switch on the back for choosing your tappings. That flexibility means you can wire it into a distributed 100V system across a large site, or connect it to a standard low impedance amplifier for a smaller setup. It's supplied singly in a black finish, with white also available.

The moulded polypropylene cabinet and aluminium grille give the FSV-B an IP35 weatherproof rating, so it copes with rain and damp conditions. The housing is UV protected to ASTM D4329, which helps it hold up under sunlight over time. This makes it a sensible choice for outdoor events, swimming pools, garden areas and marine or boat use. An indoor/outdoor equalisation switch lets you match the sound to the setting, and the supplied mounting bracket handles installation, with optional M6 screw sockets for fixed mounting.

Inside is a 133mm (5.25") woofer and a 13mm (0.5") tweeter, driven through a crossover network. It handles 65W RMS at 8 ohms with a 130W maximum, and covers a frequency response of 110Hz to 20kHz. The 100V tappings run at 40W, 20W, 10W and 5W, giving you room to balance volume across multiple speakers on one line. Sensitivity is 86dB at 1W/1m with a wide 145° dispersion angle. Spring terminal connections keep wiring quick, and the unit weighs 3.06kg.
