Description
The Adastra FRH50 is a full range horn speaker built for outdoor and open area sound, where you need clear music as well as speech announcements. It pairs a 6.5" (165mm) reverse mounted low frequency driver with a 1" (25mm) phenolic dome tweeter, giving you a wider frequency response than a standard horn. That range runs from 90Hz to 20kHz, so it handles background music properly rather than just paging and public address (PA).
Wiring is flexible for both 100V line and low impedance setups. There are six volume tappings for 100V operation at 3.5W, 4.5W, 9W, 12.5W, 25W and 50W, so you can balance levels across a run of speakers without swapping units. For 8 Ohm work the low impedance tapping runs the full 50W maximum, with a 30W RMS rating and 99dB sensitivity at 1W/1m. The long throw design and 90 degree dispersion angle help cover larger spaces from a single point.
The enclosure is UV stabilised ABS rated to IP65, so it stands up to rain and dust outdoors. An angle adjustable mounting bracket comes fitted, letting you aim the horn where the sound is needed on a wall or under an eave. The unit measures 370 x 270 x 330mm and weighs 3.56kg, keeping it manageable for single person installation. It suits car parks, forecourts, sports grounds, gardens and any site that needs both music and announcements from one speaker.

Frequently Asked
Can the FRH50 run on both 100V and 8 Ohm systems?
Yes. It has six 100V line tappings from 3.5W up to 50W, plus a low impedance tapping for 8 Ohm operation at up to 50W.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The UV stabilised ABS enclosure is rated IP65, so it resists rain and dust and is built for outdoor installation.
Can it play music as well as announcements?
Yes. Its full range output and 90Hz to 20kHz response make it suitable for background music alongside public address, unlike most standard horn speakers.
How do I aim the speaker?
It comes with an angle adjustable mounting bracket, so you can tilt and direct the horn towards the area you want to cover.
What drivers are inside?
A 6.5" (165mm) reverse mounted low frequency woofer and a 1" (25mm) phenolic dome tweeter for high frequencies.
What is the power handling?
The FRH50 has a maximum power rating of 50W and an RMS rating of 30W.
