Description
The Adastra DM40 is a compact 100V line mixer-amp built around a digital amplifier, giving you a single unit for small sound installations. It handles background music and paging in one housing, so you can run a shop, cafe, office or reception area without stacking up separate boxes. The mono output connects to either a 100V line system or a 4-16 ohm speaker load, wired through spring terminals on the rear panel.
Audio sources are covered from three directions. The onboard player reads USB media (USB 2.0, FAT32 formatted, up to 128GB) for digital playback, and the same section can be tuned to FM radio stations. Switch to Bluetooth mode and you can pair a phone or tablet for wireless playback across the room. One thing to note: the USB port is for media playback only and will not charge a phone. Bluetooth here runs on version 2.1.
Connections on the rear give you a 6.3mm jack microphone input (unbalanced), two RCA line inputs summed to mono, and two RCA line outputs. The aerial (US antenna) uses a spring terminal. Front panel controls cover treble, bass and switching between MP3, Aux and Mic sources, so you can balance a music feed against announcements. The amp runs from a standard 230Vac IEC supply and measures 280 x 205 x 67mm, small enough to sit on a shelf or in a rack space.
