Description

The Adastra CU-2 is a 1U cooling unit built for 19" rack cabinets. It uses two fans to draw air across equipment mounted below it, helping to shift the heat that amplifiers, mixers and other powered gear produce while they run. Fitting it above the components that get warmest keeps air moving through the rack rather than letting heat build up in an enclosed space.

At 483 x 44 x 172mm it takes up a single 1U slot, so it drops into a standard rack without eating into the room you need for the rest of your setup. The unit weighs 3.25kg and comes with a hard-wired UK mains lead measuring 1.5m, fitted with a BS1363 plug top, so there is no separate lead to source before you can get it running.

It draws from a 230Vac, 50Hz supply with a maximum power consumption of 14.5W, so it adds very little to your overall load. We supply the CU-2 for anyone running a rack that holds heat-generating equipment and wants to keep temperatures in check.
