Description

The Adastra COM60 is a gooseneck condenser microphone built for remote paging and announcements. The flexible neck lets you position the capsule where you need it, while the base keeps everything else within easy reach. On top you'll find a latching paging button, so you can lock the mic on when speaking to a room or venue rather than holding a button throughout. It's a practical choice for reception desks, shops, warehouses and public address setups.

The capsule connects to the base via XLR, with output taken from a second XLR at the rear for connection to your amplifier or mixer. Power runs either from 2 x AA batteries fitted in the base (optional) or from 5Vdc using the supplied USB lead, so you can pick whichever suits your installation. Underneath the base sits the chime section, with DIP switches giving 10 selectable settings including off, plus a rotary volume control to set the chime level. The chime is a handy way to draw attention before an announcement.

The electret condenser capsule has a cardioid polar pattern, picking up your voice from the front while rejecting sound from the sides and rear. Sensitivity is rated at -46dB (±2dB) with a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz and an impedance of 680 Ohms. The unit measures 445 x 150 x 112mm and weighs 518g including the base, giving it enough weight to stay put on a desk. Supplied leads include a 2.2m XLR to 6.3mm jack lead and a 1.0m USB power lead, so you have what you need to get started.
