Description

The Adastra C5D is a 13cm (5.25") ceiling speaker built for easy fitting in homes, offices and other spaces where you want sound without floor-standing boxes taking up room. It uses a two-way design with a polypropylene woofer and rubber surround, paired with a Ferrofluid cooled silk dome tweeter. That combination gives you clear high frequencies and controlled bass across a wide dispersion angle of 155°. This listing is for a single speaker, so order the pair you need for stereo or surround setups.

What sets the C5D apart is its adjustable directional tweeter. You can angle the high frequencies towards the listening area, which is useful when the speaker sits off to one side rather than directly overhead. That flexibility helps when ceiling joists or fixtures dictate where the speaker can go. The spring-loaded terminal connections make wiring quick, and the "dog-ear" mounts (the swing-out clamps that grip the plasterboard) hold the speaker firmly once the cut-out is made.

What size cut-out do I need?

It is a 13cm (5.25") ceiling speaker. Check the exact cut-out diameter against your ceiling before you start, and confirm there is clearance above the plasterboard for the speaker body and dog-ear mounts.

What does the adjustable directional tweeter do?

The tweeter can be angled so high frequencies point towards the listening area. This is handy when the speaker is fitted off to one side rather than directly above where you sit.

How does it connect to my amplifier?
