Description

The Adastra BP6V-W is a weatherproof 100V line background speaker built for outdoor and humid settings where a standard indoor unit would struggle. It uses a 6.5" main driver with a water resistant polypropylene (PP) cone, paired with a tweeter that has a polymer diaphragm for reliable operation in damp air. With an IP54 rating and a moulded ABS enclosure topped by a powder coated aluminium grille, it holds up well to the weather while keeping sound quality high across a wider range of environments.

This is a weatherproof version of our well regarded BC series 100V PA speakers. A rotary selector switch on the unit lets you set the 100V line tapping or switch to 8 Ohm operation, so it fits both distributed PA systems and standard low impedance setups. Connection is made through a hard-wired 1m lead, which maintains the IP protection all the way back to a junction box or indoor area. A wall mounting bracket is supplied, and there are alternative M6 threaded mounting points if you prefer to fix it another way.

The BP6V-W is supplied singly in white, so you can order the exact number you need for a project. It works across an operating temperature range of -5°C to +40°C, covering most outdoor uses in the UK such as covered patios, entrances, poolside areas and garden zones. Whether you are running background music or paging announcements, it gives clear, even reproduction and pairs easily with other Adastra 100V amplifiers and speakers on the same line.

Yes. It is rated IP54, so it resists dust and water spray, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas and humid environments. The 1m hard-wired lead keeps that protection intact up to your junction box or indoor connection point.

Can I use it on an 8 Ohm system instead of 100V?

Yes. The rotary selector switch lets you choose from the 100V line tappings or set the speaker to 8 Ohm operation, so it suits both distributed 100V PA lines and standard low impedance amplifiers.

How is the speaker mounted?
