Description

The Adastra BH6V-B is a 2-way background speaker built for indoor or outdoor use. It pairs an extended low frequency driver with a dome tweeter, and a crossover network splits the signal between them for clear, even sound. The moulded polypropylene (PP) cabinet keeps the design compact and hard-wearing, while the aluminium grille adds protection at the front. With an IP44 rating, it handles splashes and damp conditions, so it suits covered patios, walkways and other partly exposed areas as well as indoor rooms.

It runs on 100V line systems or at 16 Ohm, giving you flexibility across different installs. The rear rotary tapping switch lets you set the volume tap on 100V setups, and both this switch and the spring terminals sit under a protective cover to keep them shielded from the weather. A dispersion angle of 120° spreads the sound across a wide area, which helps with background music and public address (PA) work where you want consistent coverage rather than a tight focus.

Each unit ships singly with a wall mounting bracket that adjusts laterally and tilts to various positions, so you can aim the speaker for the best directivity. That makes it straightforward to fit above doorways, along corridors or under eaves and still point the sound where people are. The finish is black to blend in against darker walls and ceilings. If you need matching coverage across a larger site, you can order as many BH6V-B units as your zone requires and wire them into a single 100V run.

Yes. The BH6V-B carries an IP44 rating, so it resists splashing water and damp. We would still fit it under some cover, such as an eave or canopy, rather than in fully exposed conditions.

Does it work on 100V line systems?

It does. The speaker runs on 100V line or at 16 Ohm, so you can wire it into a standard 100V PA install or use it with a low impedance amplifier.

How do I set the volume?

There is a rotary tapping switch on the rear for setting the 100V power tap. It sits under a protective cover alongside the spring terminals to keep it shielded.
