Description
The Adastra BH4V-W is a 100V background speaker built for indoor and outdoor use. It carries an IP44 weather resistant rating, so it copes well with dust and splashing water in covered outdoor areas, garden terraces and undercover walkways. The moulded polypropylene cabinet houses a two-way system with an extended low frequency driver and a dome tweeter, along with a crossover network to split the signal cleanly between the two. It runs on 100V line systems or as a 16 Ohm speaker, giving you flexibility across different amplifier setups.
Wiring is straightforward. Spring terminals and a rotary volume tapping switch sit at the rear, both kept safe under a protective cover. The tapping switch lets you set the power drawn by each speaker on a 100V line, so you can balance levels across a run of units. Each speaker is supplied singly, which makes it easy to buy the exact number you need for a room or zone rather than working in fixed pairs.
A wall mounting bracket is included with every unit. It adjusts laterally and tilts to various angles, so you can point the sound where you want it and get even coverage across the space. The dispersion angle is 120°, and the aluminium grille protects the drivers while letting the sound through. The BH4V-W suits background music and public address (PA) duties in shops, cafes, bars and outdoor seating areas where you want clear, even sound without a bulky enclosure. Colour is white, so it blends into most ceilings and walls.

Frequently Asked
Does the BH4V-W work on both 100V and low impedance systems?
Yes. It runs on 100V line systems or as a 16 Ohm speaker, so it fits both distributed installs and standard amplifier setups.
Can I use these outdoors?
They carry an IP44 rating, which means they resist dust and splashing water. They suit covered outdoor areas and sheltered spots rather than fully exposed positions.
Are they sold in pairs?
No. Each speaker is supplied singly, so you can order the exact quantity your project needs.
How do I set the volume on each speaker?
A rotary volume tapping switch at the rear lets you set the power drawn on a 100V line, so you can balance levels across multiple speakers. It sits under a protective cover.
Is a mounting bracket included?
Yes. Each speaker comes with a wall bracket that adjusts laterally and tilts, letting you aim the sound for even coverage.
What is the coverage angle?
The dispersion angle is 120°, which gives wide, even sound spread for background music and PA use.
