Description

The Adastra BC8-W is an 8inch background speaker supplied as a matched pair, built for indoor use in shops, bars, offices and similar spaces. Each speaker uses a 2-way design with a coated paper main cone that gives full-sounding low and mid-range frequencies, so both music playback and voice announcements come through clearly. The enclosures are moulded from ABS and finished with a powder coated steel grille, a combination that has become an industry standard for this kind of installation.

Mounting is handled by an adjustable steel bracket, letting you fix the speakers to a wall or ceiling and angle them towards the listening area. Optional mounting is also possible using the M6 screw sockets built into each cabinet. Both speakers run at a standard 8 Ohm impedance and are wired from a stereo amplifier, one to the left channel and one to the right, giving you proper stereo coverage across the room.

The pair arrives with the mounting brackets included, ready to install once you have your amplifier and cabling in place. Note that connecting leads are not supplied, so you will need to add speaker cable to suit your run lengths. The BC8-W comes in white here, with a black version available if you prefer a darker finish to blend with ceilings or dark walls.

Are the speakers sold individually or as a pair?

They are supplied in pairs, giving you a left and right speaker for stereo playback from a single amplifier.

What impedance are the BC8-W speakers?

Each speaker has a standard 8 Ohm impedance, suitable for connection to a typical stereo amplifier.

Are connecting leads included?

No. Speaker cable is not supplied, so you will need to add cable to suit your installation.

Can I mount these on a wall or a ceiling?

Yes. The adjustable steel bracket allows both wall and ceiling surface mounting, and there are M6 screw sockets for optional fixing.

Are they suitable for outdoor use?

No. These are indoor speakers intended for spaces such as shops, offices, bars and similar interiors.
