Description

The Adastra BC5V-W is a 5.25-inch background speaker built for indoor commercial installs. It runs on industry-standard 100V line, with a rotary selector switch on the enclosure that lets you set the power tapping or switch to 8 Ohm operation. As a 2-way system with its own crossover network, it splits the signal between the main driver and tweeter for even coverage across music playback and voice announcements. It's supplied singly, so you can order the exact number you need for a room or zone.

The cabinet uses an ABS enclosure with a powder-coated steel grille, giving you a solid unit that copes well with day-to-day use. The trapezoidal shape is the useful part here: it sits neatly into corners or can be angled for directional coverage, so you get sound pointed where people actually are. A wall mounting bracket comes in the box, and the adjustable steel bracket supports both wall and ceiling surface mounting. If you'd rather fix the speaker another way, there are alternative M6 threaded mounting points to work with.

The main driver uses a coated paper cone, which helps it produce full low and mid-range frequencies for a rounded sound. That makes it a sensible choice for background music in shops, cafes and offices, as well as clear speech for paging and announcements. Connection is made through spring terminals, keeping wiring quick during install. In its plain white finish, the BC5V-W blends into most ceilings and walls without drawing attention. Yes. The rotary selector switch lets you choose a 100V line tapping or switch the speaker to 8 Ohm operation, so it suits both distributed and low-impedance setups.

Is the speaker sold as a pair or singly?
