Description

The Adastra BC5-W is a pair of 5.25 inch two-way background speakers built for everyday commercial use. Each speaker uses an ABS enclosure with a powder coated steel grille, giving a solid finish that holds up well in shops, bars, offices and other busy indoor spaces. They arrive as a matched pair, ready to run from a stereo amplifier.

Mounting is straightforward. The adjustable steel bracket lets you fix each speaker to a wall or ceiling and angle it towards the listening area, and there are M6 screw sockets if you prefer to use your own fixings. The main driver has a coated paper cone that gives full low and mid-range frequencies, so the BC5-W works for background music and for clear voice announcements alike.

Both speakers run at a standard 8 Ohms impedance, which suits most stereo amplifiers without any fuss. The mounting brackets are included in the box. Please note that connecting leads (speaker cable) are not supplied, so you will need to add your own to suit the run between the amp and each speaker. The BC5-W is also available in black if you need a darker finish to blend in.

Are the speakers supplied as a pair?

Yes. The BC5-W comes as a pair, ready for connection to a stereo amplifier.

Are mounting brackets included?

Yes. Each speaker comes with an adjustable steel bracket for wall or ceiling surface mounting. M6 screw sockets are also provided for your own fixings.

Is speaker cable included?

No. Connecting leads are not supplied, so you will need to add your own speaker cable to suit your installation.

What impedance are these speakers?

Each speaker has a standard 8 Ohms impedance, which works with most stereo amplifiers.

Can I use them for voice announcements as well as music?

Yes. The coated paper cone gives full low and mid-range sound, suiting both music playback and clear voice announcements.
