The Adams is a 498mm diameter spherical chandelier built from two clear glass hemispheres encased in a British bronze metal framework. Four E14 candle bulbs sit inside the glass orb on a central column, and the metal casing features cast rosette detail at the crown, ceiling canopy and centre strap — a Victorian-era decorative motif. The bronze finish carries a warm, slightly aged tone that sits between polished brass and oil-rubbed bronze.

Designed for hallways, staircases, dining rooms and double-height living spaces, the Adams provides ambient light distributed evenly through the clear glass globe. The 1524mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 832mm minimum and 2356mm maximum on installation, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceilings or higher vaulted spaces. The 498mm diameter works in rooms 3-4m across without overwhelming the space.

The combination of clear glass and metal strapping gives the chandelier a layered presence — the glass globe refracts light across the room while the bronze framework casts shadow detail onto surrounding walls when lit. Each rosette detail on the crown, ceiling rose and centre strap is die-cast rather than pressed, giving defined edges and depth. What bulbs does the Adams take?

The chandelier takes four E14 small Edison screw bulbs, maximum 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient dining or hallway lighting.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the chain to the desired length between 832mm minimum and 2356mm maximum. Once the chain is cut and the chandelier is installed, further adjustment requires taking the fitting down and re-threading the chain.

What ceiling height does it need?

The 832mm minimum drop plus the 679mm fitting height means the bottom of the chandelier sits at least 1511mm below the ceiling rose. For a standard 2.4m ceiling this leaves approximately 889mm clearance from floor to base — suitable for hallways and dining spaces. Higher ceilings allow the full 2356mm drop to be used.

Is the glass globe removable for bulb changes?

The glass orb is held by the metal framework and separates into two hemispheres for access to the bulb cluster inside. This allows bulbs to be changed without dismantling the entire fitting.
