Description
The Knightsbridge TRLED26EMD is a 1828mm twin LED non-corrosive batten with an integrated 69W LED delivering 7820 lumens at 6000K daylight white. The polycarbonate body and opal diffuser carry an IP65 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The fitting includes a 3-hour emergency backup function that delivers 708 lumens when mains power is lost, configurable as maintained, non-maintained or switched emergency modes.
Designed for industrial, commercial and outdoor installations where impact resistance and weather protection are required, the batten suits warehouses, car parks, workshops, loading bays, covered walkways and public facilities. The twin LED array spreads light across a 120-degree beam angle, reducing the need for multiple fittings in long corridors or workspaces. The fitting mounts directly to ceilings or walls using 14 lockable clips supplied with the unit, which secure the diffuser and prevent tampering in public areas.
The grey polycarbonate housing withstands impacts in environments where standard plastic or metal fittings would dent or crack. The constant current driver maintains stable output across the 50,000-hour L70B50 lifespan, and the unit is rated to Energy Class C under post-2021 SLR standards. At 144.5 lumens per watt, the batten delivers substantially higher efficiency than the twin fluorescent tubes it replaces, while eliminating the maintenance burden of tube and ballast replacement. The CRI of >80 provides adequate colour rendering for industrial and commercial tasks.
The emergency backup battery is excluded from the 5-year warranty and will require periodic replacement depending on test frequency and operating conditions. The fitting operates on standard 230V 50Hz mains and is not dimmable.

Frequently Asked
What does the IP65 rating mean for installation locations?
IP65 means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It can be installed outdoors under canopies, in covered car parks, loading bays, and indoor wet areas like industrial washrooms. It is not submersible and should not be installed where it will be directly submerged or subjected to high-pressure washing.
How does the emergency function work?
The batten includes a battery backup that provides 708 lumens for 3 hours when mains power is lost. It can be configured as maintained (emergency light stays on continuously), non-maintained (emergency light only activates on power loss), or switched (controlled by external switch). Configuration is set during installation.
What fluorescent fitting does this replace?
The 1828mm length and twin LED configuration make this a direct replacement for 6ft twin T8 fluorescent battens. The 7820 lumen output exceeds typical twin 58W fluorescent output while consuming 69W, and the 50,000-hour lifespan eliminates tube and ballast replacement for years.
How is the diffuser secured?
The opal diffuser is held by 14 lockable clips supplied with the fitting. These clips prevent the diffuser being removed without a tool, reducing tampering in public or semi-public installations. The clips also ensure the diffuser remains secure under vibration or impact.
