Description

The Times Square is a 200mm tall outdoor wall light with an integrated 6W LED casting warm 3200K light through apertures at the top and bottom of a rectangular aluminium body finished in white. The dual-aperture design projects light both upwards and downwards onto the wall surface, creating vertical light bands that add depth and architectural interest to exterior walls.

Designed for residential entrances, garden walls, patios and light-coloured facades, the IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for sheltered outdoor locations such as covered porches, pergolas and eaves. The fixed 6W LED module eliminates the need for bulb replacement and draws minimal power compared to traditional halogen outdoor lighting.

The 90mm square footprint and 200mm height give the fitting a vertical proportion that suits wall mounting between 1.6m and 2.2m above ground level. The white powder-coated aluminium resists corrosion in coastal and damp climates, while the colour blends into light-painted render, timber cladding and masonry surfaces. The upward and downward light beams can be used to frame doorways, mark the edges of outdoor steps, or add visual rhythm to a long facade when installed in a series.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, equivalent to around 10 years of typical evening use.

Can it be used in exposed rain conditions?

The IP54 rating provides protection against water splashes from any direction but does not make the fitting fully weatherproof. It is suitable for sheltered outdoor locations such as covered porches, eaves and pergolas. Avoid mounting in positions where the fitting is directly exposed to driving rain or standing water.

What is the light output pattern?

The Times Square casts light through apertures at the top and bottom of the housing, projecting vertical bands of light onto the wall surface above and below the fitting. There is minimal forward light spill, so the fitting is used primarily for wall-washing and architectural accent rather than task lighting.

How is it wired?

The fitting connects to standard 230V mains wiring via a terminal block inside the housing. The fitting must be installed by a qualified electrician and switched via an indoor switch or outdoor-rated timer.
