Description

The Suspiro is a 27cm LED table lamp built around a hand-blown smoked black glass shade that graduates from opaque charcoal at the top to transparent grey at the base, set on a polished chrome plinth. An internal opal diffuser sits at the core of the glass, housing an integrated 8.5W LED module that emits 504lm at 3000K through the layered glass structure.

Designed for ambient lighting rather than task light, the Suspiro suits bedside tables, console tables in hallways, or side surfaces in living rooms where the lamp functions as both light source and decorative object. The smoked gradient glass softens the LED output and creates depth when lit, while the polished chrome base anchors the organic blown-glass form with geometric precision. At 1.37kg the lamp sits securely on most surfaces without needing to be weighted.

The smoke-to-clear gradient means the lamp presents differently under daylight and artificial light — appearing darker and more sculptural when unlit, then revealing the internal diffuser structure and warm LED glow when switched on. The 20cm diameter glass shade is wide enough to cast a pool of ambient light across a 1.5m radius without glare, making it suitable for low-light evening use in living spaces or bedrooms. The polished chrome finish on the base works with both warm-toned and cooler contemporary interiors.

No. The 8.5W LED module is integrated into the lamp's internal structure and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, equivalent to 10+ years of typical evening use.

Can the Suspiro be used as a bedside lamp?

Yes. The 504lm output at 3000K provides ambient light suitable for bedside use, though it is not directional task lighting. The lamp works well for general bedroom illumination or pre-sleep reading when paired with a separate reading light.

How is the smoked glass cleaned?

The blown-glass shade can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth when the lamp is unplugged and cool. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid sprays, polishes or abrasive materials that could scratch the glass or damage the gradient finish.
