Description

The Luxelle is a 350mm-tall table lamp built around a single horizontal disc of natural Spanish alabaster, supported by a smooth cylindrical column in matt black metal on a matching round base. The 360mm alabaster disc sits flat above the column, lit from within by an integrated 8W 3000K LED that's fully concealed inside the structure. Light passes through the stone and washes outwards across the disc.

The lamp suits sideboards, console tables, low bookshelves and bedside tables in rooms where a soft, downward-spreading glow is more useful than a tall focused reading light. The 360mm disc casts a wide pool of ambient light across the surface below, making it well suited to entrance hallways, living room consoles and hotel-style bedroom setups. The integrated LED removes the need for a separate bulb purchase and keeps the silhouette uninterrupted.

Each alabaster disc shows different mineral veining and tonal movement depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two lamps look identical when lit. The contrast between the warm-toned, translucent stone above and the matt black column below is the defining feature of the design — the dark cylindrical stem grounds the composition while letting the alabaster carry the light. Transitions between stone and metal are crisp, with no visible fixings.

What kind of light does it cast?

The disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, density and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The general colour and form will match, but the exact pattern of mineral movement across the stone is unique to each lamp.
