Description

The Lustrous is a 900mm linear crystal chandelier built around a chrome metal frame with a horizontal black fabric shade running through the centre. Cut crystal strands cascade from the top chrome bar and continue below the fabric shade, creating two curtains of crystal that frame the black shade on either side. Five E27 bulb fittings sit inside the shade behind the fabric, casting light through the material and illuminating the surrounding crystals.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher, the Lustrous provides both ambient light through the fabric diffuser and decorative sparkle from the cut crystal. The suspension cables are adjustable during installation using automatic tensioning devices, allowing the chandelier to be set at the correct drop for the space. The 900mm length suits tables between 1.8m and 2.4m or kitchen islands up to 2.5m, positioned centrally to distribute light evenly.

The black fabric shade is mounted on a metal sub-frame and provides a matt horizontal band that contrasts with the reflective chrome bars above and below and the transparent crystal strands. Each octagonal-cut crystal bead catches and refracts light differently depending on viewing angle, so the chandelier presents differently when seen from various positions in the room. The chrome finish on the metal frame is polished rather than brushed, giving sharp reflections that pair with the crystal's own optical clarity. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only.

What bulbs does the Lustrous take?

The chandelier takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to achieve balanced light through the fabric shade and sufficient sparkle from the crystals without excessive glare.

Is the Lustrous dimmable?

Yes. The chandelier is rated as dimmable, but the actual dimming performance depends on pairing compatible dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs vary in dimming behaviour, so test before committing to a full installation.

How is the drop adjusted?

The suspension system uses steel cables with automatic tensioning devices. During installation, the cables can be shortened or lengthened to position the chandelier at the required height above the table or floor. Once set, the tensioners lock the cables in place.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the chandelier is suitable only for dry indoor locations with no direct water exposure. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones near showers and baths.
