Description

The Looker is an adjustable table lamp built on a matt white metal frame with four purple ball-jointed pivot points, allowing the lamp head and arm to be repositioned through a wide range of angles. The single E27 fitting inside the cylindrical lamp head accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), giving control over light temperature and brightness depending on the bulb chosen. The braided cable runs externally along the frame, connecting at the base.

Designed for desks, workbenches and creative studio use, the Looker provides directed task light that can be angled towards a keyboard, drawing board, or work surface and adjusted during the day as the user moves. The base measures 180mm square and the arm extends from 180mm to 530mm in height depending on how the joints are configured, allowing the lamp to sit low for ambient desk lighting or extend high to light a larger worktop area. The four purple joints lock firmly when positioned and the frame holds its angle without drift.

The matt white finish on the metal frame reduces glare under daylight and pairs cleanly with white, grey and neutral-toned workspaces. The purple joints add a colour accent without overwhelming the design and make the articulation points visually clear when adjusting the lamp. The 2.2kg weight gives enough stability on a desk without needing to be bolted down, though the lamp should be placed where the base will not be knocked when the arm is extended at full reach.

What bulb does it take?

The Looker takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED in 2700K-4000K depending on whether warm ambient or cooler task light is needed.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb chosen and the dimmer switch used. If you fit a dimmable E27 LED and connect the lamp to a compatible dimmer, the light output can be controlled. The lamp itself has no built-in dimmer.

How stable is it when fully extended?

The 180mm square base and 2.2kg weight provide stability on most desks when the arm is extended. The lamp is most stable when the arm is angled over the base rather than cantilevered out to full reach. On surfaces that may be knocked, position the lamp where the base will not be disturbed.

Do the joints hold their position?

Yes. The four ball joints lock firmly when positioned and the arm does not drift or sag once set. Repeated adjustment over time may loosen the joints slightly, but they are designed for regular repositioning during daily use.
