Description

The Halleron is a 305mm diameter spherical chain lantern with a weathered zinc metal frame divided into vertical ribs and a decorative cast band at the equator. Clear seeded glass panels between the ribs house three E14 bulbs (sold separately), and the textured glass diffuses light outward while maintaining visibility of the filament bulbs inside. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction, making the lantern suitable for covered porches, pergolas and open-sided entrance canopies.

Designed for outdoor areas with existing overhead fixing points, the Halleron hangs on an adjustable chain with a total drop range of 565mm to 2362mm from ceiling to base. This adjustability allows the lantern to be set at different heights depending on the space — lower over a dining table on a covered terrace, or higher in a double-height porch. The chain and canopy match the weathered zinc finish of the frame, creating a unified metal appearance that pairs with traditional brick, painted timber and render finishes.

The spherical shape provides 360-degree light distribution, so the lantern works equally well centred above a seating area or positioned along a walkway where light needs to spread in multiple directions. The seeded glass texture scatters the light from each bulb, softening shadows and reducing glare while still allowing the warm glow of filament-style LED or incandescent bulbs to show through. The weathered zinc finish develops a natural patina over time when exposed to weather, deepening the grey tone and adding texture to the surface.
