Description

The Gong is a portable LED table lamp with a matt black metal housing, an opal acrylic diffuser, and an integrated silicone carry handle. A magnetic base secures the lamp to ferrous surfaces or sits flat on a table, and the built-in rechargeable battery eliminates the need for trailing cables during use. The 2.5W LED produces 140 lumens at 3000K, providing warm ambient light rather than task illumination.

Rated IP54, the Gong withstands rain and dust exposure, making it suitable for outdoor dining tables, balconies, patios, and garden seating areas as well as indoor use in living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The dimmable output adjusts from full brightness to a low glow, controlled by a touch-sensitive pad on the lamp body. At full charge the battery runs for approximately 6-8 hours depending on brightness setting, and the lamp recharges via a USB-C cable (included).

The silicone handle folds flat when not in use and provides a comfortable grip for moving the lamp between rooms or outdoor spaces without handling the hot metal body after extended use. The 35cm height and 13cm diameter make the Gong compact enough for side tables and narrow ledges without tipping. The black finish pairs with contemporary, industrial, and minimalist interiors, and the opal diffuser prevents direct LED glare.

The magnetic base attaches to steel outdoor furniture, metal planters, and shelving without adhesive or clamps, though the base also functions as a stable platform on non-ferrous surfaces. Battery runtime depends on brightness setting. At full output the Gong runs for approximately 6 hours. At lower dimmed settings the runtime extends to 8 hours or more. The lamp recharges via the included USB-C cable.

Is the Gong waterproof?

The IP54 rating means the lamp is protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. It can withstand rain and outdoor use but should not be submerged or exposed to heavy jets of water.

How does the dimming work?

The Gong uses a touch-sensitive control pad on the lamp body. Tap once to turn on, tap and hold to dim up or down, tap again to turn off. There are no physical buttons or switches.

Will the magnetic base scratch metal furniture?

The base is smooth and unlikely to scratch polished metal surfaces under normal use. If you're placing the Gong on highly polished or lacquered metal furniture, a thin felt pad between the base and the surface will prevent any potential marking.
