Description

The Elmyra is a 720mm linear suspension built from six cube-shaped blocks of natural Spanish alabaster, each suspended on a fine stainless steel cable from a slim ceiling-mounted track. The cubes sit at staggered heights along the length, taking six G9 bulbs (sold separately) that light the alabaster from within and turn each block into its own diffuser. The soft white tone of the stone shows pale grey veining and tonal shifts that vary from cube to cube.

At 720mm long and 120mm wide, the Elmyra is built for above-table use over kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars in the 1.4–2.0m length range. The narrow 120mm width keeps the suspension in proportion above slimmer islands and rectangular dining tables without overshadowing the surface below. The staggered cube heights cast pools of light that overlap along the length of the run, giving even coverage rather than six discrete spots.

Each alabaster cube is cut from a single block of stone, so the veining patterns and translucency differ between the six elements on every Elmyra.
