Description

The Cheadle is a single-light bathroom wall light with a polished chrome curved arm, turned detailing on the stem, and a large opal glass bowl shade. The fitting carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, and comes with a 3W LED G9 bulb producing 3000K warm white light.

Designed for mounting beside bathroom mirrors, along hallway walls, or in dressing rooms where task lighting is needed with a decorative finish, the Cheadle combines traditional turned metalwork with the clean reflectivity of polished chrome. The 170mm-wide opal glass shade diffuses the G9 bulb fully, producing an even wash of light without visible glare or hard shadows on skin tones during grooming.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs well with chrome taps, shower fittings and mirror frames common in contemporary bathrooms. The curved arm projects 210mm from the wall, positioning the shade clear of typical mirror edges. At 285mm tall, the fitting scales appropriately for single or double vanity basins without dominating the wall plane. The opal glass is a pressed shape rather than hand-blown, giving uniform thickness and consistent diffusion across the bowl surface.

The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 — typically areas outside the immediate shower enclosure or bath splash zone. Suitable beside mirrors, above vanity units, or on walls adjacent to bath and shower areas.

Is the LED bulb replaceable?

Yes. The fitting includes a 3W LED G9 bulb, but this can be replaced with any standard G9 bulb up to the maximum 3W rating. G9 bulbs twist-lock into the socket and are available separately.

Can the chrome finish be cleaned with standard bathroom cleaners?

Polished chrome can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that scratch the plated surface, and rinse thoroughly to prevent limescale buildup from hard water.
