The Astrid is an 11-light cluster pendant built from individual geometric wire cages suspended at varying heights on a matte bronze frame with gold accent sleeves. Each cage houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately), and the staggered arrangement creates an 846mm-diameter, 1083mm-tall cascading structure when viewed from ceiling to lowest point. The open wire construction allows light to project outward while casting angular shadow patterns on surrounding walls and ceilings.

Designed for dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Astrid works as both ambient and decorative lighting. The 3048mm suspension cable allows the drop to be adjusted between 1525mm minimum and 4573mm maximum on installation, making it suitable for standard residential ceilings or vaulted spaces. The cluster spread of 846mm suits dining tables 1800-2400mm in length or central ceiling positions in rooms of 20-30m². The combination of matte bronze wire frames and brushed gold collar details bridges industrial and contemporary interiors.

Each of the eleven E27 sockets accepts bulbs up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose LED filament, vintage Edison-style, or standard A60 bulbs depending on the desired light output and aesthetic. The wire cages are welded at each joint and powder-coated in matte bronze, with the gold sleeves machined from solid brass and left unsealed to develop a natural patina over time. What bulbs does the Astrid take?

Each of the 11 sockets takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for a vintage industrial look, or standard LED A60 bulbs at 8-10W for higher ambient light output.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 1525mm means the lowest cage will hang approximately 1.5m below the ceiling rose. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 750-900mm above the surface, which requires ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The cable can be shortened during installation if needed.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by feeding the cable through the ceiling rose and locking it at the desired height. Adjusting the height later requires accessing the ceiling rose and re-feeding the cable, which typically involves isolating the circuit and removing the rose cover.

Is the gold finish on the collars sealed?

The gold sleeves are machined from solid brass and left unsealed, allowing them to develop a natural patina over time. If a consistent bright gold finish is preferred, the sleeves can be polished periodically with a brass cleaning cloth.
