Description

The QTX QUEST-12A is an active PA cabinet with an amplifier built in, so you don't need a separate amp to run it. It uses a class-AB amplifier and handles up to 720W peak, housed in a moulded polypropylene enclosure that keeps the weight down while standing up to regular use. Rear wheels are fitted for easy moving between rooms or venues, and a 35mm pole mount socket lets you fit it to a speaker stand (tripod).

Inputs cover both microphone and line level, each with its own volume control, so you can balance a mic against backing music without one drowning out the other. Connection options include jack, XLR, RCA (phono) and minijack, which covers most sources you're likely to plug in. The built-in media player has independent volume too and reads mp3 tracks from USB or SD, works as an FM tuner, or takes audio wirelessly over Bluetooth.

Treble and bass tone controls shape the output, and there's an XLR line output if you want to feed the signal on to another device. The internal amplifier also drives a passive speaker, so you can add a second cabinet and run a straightforward two-speaker PA setup from the one active unit. This makes the QUEST-12A a practical choice for DJs, stage performers, presentations and general event use where you want a self-contained system that's quick to set up and move.

No. It has a class-AB amplifier built in, so it powers itself from the mains. You just connect your sources and go.
