Description

The Norden is a ceiling conversion kit for multi-drop pendant installations, comprising a 15cm brushed metal circular canopy and three suspension wire cables with fixing grips. The kit allows a single ceiling point to support three separate pendant drops, spreading them radially from a central canopy position rather than hanging all three from the same spot.

Designed for dining rooms, stairwells and kitchen islands where multiple pendants need to hang at the same or different heights, the kit provides a neater installation method than running three separate ceiling roses. The canopy fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box, and each suspension wire runs through a grip-lock fitting in the canopy edge, allowing individual height adjustment for each pendant. The cables are approximately 3m long and can be trimmed during installation.

The brushed metal finish on the canopy pairs with polished chrome, brushed nickel, satin brass and matt black pendant fittings without creating finish clashes. The 15cm diameter canopy sits flat against the ceiling, keeping the overall profile low. The three wire exit points are evenly spaced around the perimeter, creating a symmetrical drop pattern when all three pendants are equal length, or a staggered cascade when set at different heights.

Can the wires be adjusted to different lengths?

Yes. Each wire runs through a grip-lock fitting that can be loosened to allow height adjustment, then tightened to lock the pendant at the desired drop length. The wires are supplied at approximately 3m and can be trimmed if needed.

What ceiling rose or junction box is required?

The canopy fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box. The electrical connection is made inside the canopy before it is fixed to the ceiling, so mains isolation is required during installation.

What weight can the canopy support?

The canopy and suspension wires are rated for typical pendant light weights (1-2kg per pendant). For heavier fittings such as large chandeliers or multi-bulb clusters, consult the Specification tab or contact us for load guidance before installation.
