Description
The Zoom is a 90mm square surface-mounted downlight in white-finished aluminium, designed to take a single GU10 bulb up to 50W. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2, kitchens, utility rooms and covered outdoor areas where moisture resistance is required.
Surface mounting means the fitting sits directly on the ceiling without needing a recessed void or ceiling cut-out, making it practical for concrete ceilings, retrofit installations over existing plasterwork, or spaces where ceiling depth is limited. The 115mm overall height projects 115mm from the ceiling surface once fitted, with the 90mm-square footprint giving a compact presence that works in hallways, bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes and entrance porches.
The aluminium body is powder-coated white for durability and ease of cleaning in damp environments. The square geometry provides a modern alternative to circular downlights and pairs cleanly with rectilinear tiles, linear wall panelling and contemporary sanitary ware. The GU10 base accepts LED, halogen or CFL bulbs (sold separately), allowing control over colour temperature and brightness to suit the room.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in a bathroom?
Yes. The IP65 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2, meaning it can be installed directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure as well as in the general bathroom ceiling space. Ensure the GU10 bulb you fit also carries appropriate IP protection if installing within zone 1.
Does it need a recessed ceiling void?
No. The Zoom is surface-mounted, meaning it fixes directly to the ceiling surface using the back plate. This makes it practical for concrete ceilings, retrofit installations or where cutting into the ceiling is not an option.
What bulb does it take?
The fitting takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W (sold separately). Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in 3000K or 4000K depending on the room. Choose a GU10 with IP65 protection if installing in bathroom zone 1.
How is the white finish maintained in damp areas?
The powder-coated aluminium is resistant to moisture and corrosion. Wipe clean with a damp cloth when dust or water marks build up. Avoid abrasive cleaners which may dull the white finish over time.
